SYMPTOMS MOLD CAN CAUSE
To give you a general idea of how vast mold illness symptoms can be, we’ve compiled a list of common health related symptoms that mold can cause.
This is not an exhaustive list, and as a reminder, the health symptoms associated with mold illness are pretty limitless and will vary from person to person depending on: the type of mold they’re exposed to, the level and length of mold exposure, pre-existing conditions, diet & lifestyle, the current toxic load in their body, other stressors, and genetics.

As you can see, mold can cause a HUGE range of health problems varying from sinus issues, brain & cognition issues, skin issues, liver issues, food intolerances, and so MUCH more. It’s pretty frightening what mold can do to you. And the even more disturbing part is those who are severely impacted by mold illness can have 80-90% of the symptoms mentioned above. Some people can’t even work because they are so sick from mold.
Because the symptoms of mold illness can be so broad, it can be extremely difficult to diagnose mold illness without the help of an experienced mold literate doctor/practitioner, and/or by doing your own research.
Learn about 4 different ways that can help you determine if mold is making you sick here.

PETS AND MOLD
People aren’t the only vulnerable ones to mold. Mold can makes pets very sick too. Unfortunately pets often get the worst of it and don’t always make it out alive if the mold problem is never caught or caught too late. We’ve had several friends who unfortunately lost their dogs to mold.
Ashley’s (founder of Minimizing Mold) two dogs were having health issues while living in mold, but it wasn’t so extreme to the point that they were on their deathbeds. Although, if they had stayed in her moldy house much longer, she thinks that would have been the ultimate result.
Mold toxicity signs that her dogs had were: consistent itching/scratching, sneezing, wheezing, and dry noses. Once they were out of her home for several weeks, their symptoms thankfully went away.
